The Art of Recycling

Recently, a group of Lincoln parents wrote and received a grant from Salt Lake City for a class called “The Art of Recycling.” Sharing their creative talents and concern for the environment, they have invited students and parents to come to a class each Monday after school to learn how to make items from recycled materials. Students are recycling various items from their breakfast and lunch trays which are then put to a new use during the weekly class. Kids and adults are having lots of fun making new items from old materials, and learning about the environment along the way!

Student Council Heads to the U!

Our 12 student council members recently spent a day at the University of Utah. They learned about how to be great leaders and what it means to be engaged in their communities. They were also able to run on the football field, check out the library, and tour a Chemical Engineering lab!
